candy0955 Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Scottsdale hotel stay 3/4-3/8 - 5* for $330/day where do you think this is?blind accessible, accessible path of travel, in room accessibility, wheelchair accessiblefree parkingroll in shower that's it no mention of pools, business center etc .. but it is 5* so that should all be therealternatively there is a hotwire offer same dates for 5* North Scottsdale for $229with free internet, pools, resort, fitness center and business center .. any guess where that may be?
candy0955 Posted March 2, 2013 Author Report Posted March 2, 2013 And hotwire says "it is still gathering info" on the first hotel in Scottsdalebut says recommended by 95% on the second 5* hotel in North Scottsdale
thereuare Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Welcome to Betteridding! For each of the properties above, if you go back to HOTWIRE and click the SHOW ME button next to each of these offers (the one with the price in it), then on the ensuing page click the 'See all' link under the amenities, do you see more amenities than what you've posted above? Also, on my HOTWIRE search all the 5* hotels in each of these zones are $300+ (there is none in the $200's).. are you willing to spend $300/nite for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. candy0955 Posted March 2, 2013 Author Report Posted March 2, 2013 yes - after show me - and then all amenities that's all it shows for the Scottsdale property for $330 (and for this week, prices are sky-high and I'd be better off with that price than $500+ for the Phoenician for example)and the N. Scottsdale property is now $374 and lists pools, business center, tennis nearby, fitness center, spa, restaurants, golf nearby.
thereuare Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Here is what i'm seeing for the 5* Scottsdale hotel:Free Parking Blind Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... and this is what i'm seeing for the North Scottsdale property:Resort Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower Is this what you're seeing on your own search or for both only the limited number of amenities that you've previously listed? If you're not seeing the amenities i've listed in this post, are you searching for more than one room or for something other than the default 2adults/0children?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. candy0955 Posted March 2, 2013 Author Report Posted March 2, 2013 YES that is what I am seeing for the two hotels. The first one has me stumped because it doesn't list the usual 5* amenities -- just the handicapped items. Have you seen this before? And yes I am just looking for one room for 2 people. Also the North Scottdale hotel (now $303)charges a resort fee -- but the Scottsdale resort (at$330) doesn't mention a fee on the show me more page.
thereuare Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Best guess for the Scottsdale property would be the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa.The North Scottsdale property is no longer appearing on my search so i can't do any of the 'checks' we like to do for additional confirmation, but the Fairmont has previously been seen with this amenity set so that would be my best guess for this one if it is still appearing on your own HOTWIRE search. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
