Priceline Hotel: Chicago NMA & Mag Mile - 10/4

Does anyone know if anything big is going on in Chicago over 10/4-10/5?

I would like to get a hotel room, at one of the 4 star places for around $40-$50/night. I've done that before, but haven't had much luck lately. It seems like there are always HUGE conferences taking over the hotels. Anyone have information on that week?

Hotel rates continue to firm up... i don't think expecting a 4* hotel in the NMA or Loop is realistic.

Ok, I found out that I don't necessarily need these areas.

What area is close to Wrigley? Apparently, the place I'm going is right near Wrigley.

Any suggestions for hotels? I just don't want a sketchy area / hotel, since I'm a single female going to an area I don't know in Chicago.

You can wait and hope for somebody local to the ara to reply, or you can look at a map of Wrigley Field and compare it to the Priceline map for Chicago to determine the closest area.

40-50 for a 4* downtown is essentially impossible this Fall, as Chicago has been busy and expensive. There is a Days Inn on Diversey in Lincoln Park that may be okay for your needs, as it's not far from Wrigley.

OK.. I decided to call the event location and ask for a recommended hotel. I went with the City Suites, so I was guaranteed something within walking distance. I did not book through priceline.
