Priceline Hotel: 3* Orange County (Newport - Huntington Beach) Ramada Limited Costa Mesa Newport

I have to admit, I'm disappointed with this win. This hotel used to be a 2.5 start hotel, and now is a 3 star. I have not had good experiences at Ramadas in the past. :(

Here are my rejected bids:

$69 3.5* Anaheim South

$75 3.5* Anaheim North and South

$80 3.5* Anaheim North and South, and Seal Beach

$69 3* Anaheim North and South, and Seal Beach

I guess we'll just have to make the best of it, but can anyone give me any tips on how I could have done better? Or if you could share some fantastic reviews of this hotel, that would make me feel better. :)

I just checked out the actual Ramada website, and the total I would have paid if I had booked through them would have been $98.83. I think I saved about a dollar by going through PRICELINE, plus I lost the flexibility of canceling our booking.

This is super frustrating and I'm not sure I'll use PRICELINE again.

Sorry to hear you're disappointed in the result but i think you may have over bid on this one. Assuming you added the Newport-Huntingon Beach zone after failed $69 bid in the Anaheim North and South, and Seal Beach zones, you never gave yourself a chance to win a 3* hotel in this zone for any less. Feel free to ask for help and/or a bidding strategy before your next opaque purchase.
