Squeakieca Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 I am looking for 2 rooms for 7 people on March 23 pre cruise. We are all ladies and some would like the beach. There is only one 4 star left and has gone up a lot.We also have a car to park. Is there anyway to know which one is the Hyatt Place? They have a park and cruise package.
thereuare Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding!Few points to cover:When using the opaque providers you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating you select. HOTWIRE does show amenities associated with the hotel so you can look for the 'beachfront' or 'near beach' amenities to indicate something that is on or close to the beach. However, from my own pre-cruise experience i will venture a guess that you will not likely have very much time to enjoy or visit the beach as usually by the time you arrive into town, check-in to the hotel, there isn't much time to go exploring and usually it's just a relaxing dinner and pick up any last minute items you may have forgotten and an early nite. But you know your plans better than we do and the needs of your group to determine if you'll get enough beach during your cruise that this needs to be a requirement or not.PRICELINE and HOTWIRE reservations are for standard room rates only and not for any packages. Any Park N Sail package they have is likely at a higher rate then their regular room rate and not something that you would necessarily be able to take advantage of while on your cruise. After a hotel is won you can try calling the hotel to see if there is anyway to upgrade to a Park n Cruise package, but no assurances that the hotel will be able to do this and my restrict this only to people who booked that specific package (with no option to 'add on' to a room rate only reservation)Lastly, you mention only one 4* left (not sure where you are searching) but then also mention the Hyatt Place which was last reported to the board at the 3* level... which zone(s) are you willing to accept, what star rating is it that you're seeking, and what is your budget per room per nite? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
