jeffreyorbit Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 Purchased this hotel for $112 a night on HOTWIRE plus $98 in taxes and fees from them and then an additional $25 a night in resort fees from the hotel. So about $150 in taxes and fees for a room that only cost $220?

jeffreyorbit Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 I actually wasn't happy with the "deal" I got at all. The room rate was only about $220 but I was charged about $150 in taxes and fees from hotwire and the hotel. Thats about a 70% tax/fee rate. How is that possible or a good deal?Nevertheless, here are the amenities:AmenitiesFree Parking Casino Fitness CenterRestaurant(s) Business Center Spa ServicesAccessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travelIn-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroomHandicapped parking Roll-in shower
AaronJB Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Thank you for the follow-up, and sorry you're disappointed. However, the resort fees and taxes are also charged on top of regular rate, as well, so discount rate + taxes/fees are still a discount over regular rate + the same taxes/fees.
