Priceline Hotel: Help with group resevation December

I am looking to book a group of people from work - 8 rooms for Dec. 5-12

Any advice would be appreciated, Hotwire, Priceline or otherwise.

If you use PL or Hotwire you can only bid for a max of 4 rooms at a time. This could cause you to have four of the 8 rooms at a second hotel. This time of year (Dec. 5-12) it should not be a problem getting all the rooms at one hotel but it could happen.

I may have some ideas and/or alternatives.. what type of budget/accomodations are you seeking?

Would you be willing to risk getting four rooms at two separate properties?

This is a business trip, so I would like all rooms at the same hotel if possible.

Looking for something above the Circus/Westward Ho type hotel.

I can get the Trop or IP for about $60 a nite average.

If all rooms need to be at the same property you can't use the opaque services as you may not get the same hotel on the second purchase.

If you're willing to go up a little in price (and a lot in quality) you can get rooms at the Monte Carlo for an average of $85/nite. You'd have to book 3 rooms, 3 rooms, and then 2 rooms... but if any of the reservations didn't go thru you can cancel the previous ones... but i've already checked and they currently have enough inventory to handle eight rooms each nite.

You could also book the Boardwalk for as little as $43/nite.
