Dethroned Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 In all honesty I'd take a 3.5* as well. My concern is looking at the hotel list and seeing "Stay" on there. I'm looking to stay in Times Sq but don't want "Stay" as I've had a friend give it a very negative review. The hotel list shows it as a 3* (previously 3.5*) but wondering how updated the list is.
thereuare Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! As per our PRICELINE FAQ, the hotel lists are updated any time new information is reported to the board. To the best of my knowledge, the Stay is still currently 3* rated by PRICELINE.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Dethroned Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 Thanks for the reply! I tried getting a 4* for $200 max (after a few bids) and kind of knew it wasn't going to happen :) I'm deciding whether I want to go down to a 3.5* or stick with the 4* and up my bid a little bit. I don't mind the $200-$250 a night but WOW do those taxes really add a lot on!
AaronJB Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 Are you only interested in TS? Other areas in Midtown for these date/s are likely going to be at least slightly-to-mildly cheaper. In terms of TS, HOTWIRE is showing a 4* for $229, so you're likely not far off. Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 I'd suggest considering the 4.5* MTE property for $199/nite on HOTWIRE with:Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible ... this property also shows a 4.5/5.0 TA rating which is excellent. The Omni Berkshire would be my best guess for this one and assuming correct this would be an easy walk to Times Square too. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide for this stay or if we can be of further help. Dethroned Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 I ended up getting the Millenium Broadway for $215 a night. It was my last try at getting a room as I didn't want to spend more than that. I've read mixed reviews on TripAdvisor but always take them with a grain of salt. I've talked to a couple co-workers who said they stayed there and loved it so I don't regret the decision I made on it.
