4 Rogos Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Stayed here a few years ago and enjoyed it a great deal. No hidden resort fees. Bid $55.00 got turned down, bid $62.00 and was accepted. Wish I had checked my previous win topics as I got it for $58.00 before and am now wondering if I could have saved $4.00/night. (I'm being cheap I know... but a person could buy a drink or two with that.) Picked up 2 rooms at this rate. Other one was for a family member coming into town to meet us.It's a "family" hotel which basically means no gambling. No big deal for us. We live near Carson City so gambling is not a big part of our lives. I don't recommend living in Nevada if you are a big gambler. ;) We are planning on watching our daughter in the State track meet and just planning ahead. She is really good so she be competing but at worst if she doesn't qualify we can always still enjoy a trip to Vegas. The pool is shallow, only 3 feet deep, but it's not extremely busy so you don't feel crowded at all. This place is really not a typical "party spot" especially for Vegas (been there done that) but it's nice for older couples (30 years+) or people who are trying to relax rather than party.Monorail is about a 5 minute walk (maybe 3 minutes) it's close and we liked using it on our last visit so much that it's one of the reasons I wanted to get this hotel again. Much cheaper than cabbing it.Hope the information I provided helps. You can always Google the hotel for photos etc. I used the PRICELINE link from the betterbidding site. It's easy and I hope they get some sort of recognition for helping people decide how much to bid. :)
