thereuare Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 ...since my plan changed and I ended up not buying through hotwire or priceline at all..For this NYC trip too... or are you still looking for the stay aboev? Are your plans for this trip firm? Are you willing to commit to a non-refundable purchase now for a trip that is 11 months away? Are you willing to spend $1000+ for these 3 nites? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. groovie99 Posted February 21, 2013 Author Report Posted February 21, 2013 yes, if the price is right.. the trip is my honeymoon and so i'm planning ahead..or would you say that hotwire is more for last minute purchases, and that i might get a better deal then?downside of course is that if i don't find anything good last minute, then it would be kind of annoying having to stay at a ymca on my honeymoon :)so i'm willing to spend a little more for added security in my planning.. but a 5* in nyc for under 300$.. sounds pretty good, no? Unless the hotel is 5* on paper only.. and that's why i was interrested if anyone could help me here..
thereuare Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Best guess for this property would be The Towers at the Palace hotel. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Best wishes for your honeymoon. :)Towers at the Palace is $309 with free cancellation on Expedia (although do double check the fine print for details), including Corner and Exec Suite (you can pick room type in other words.)This is a slow part of the year and while things can happen that may drive prices up (conventions, etc), I think I'd book the refundable reservation via Expedia, lock that in and wait until a better deal comes along on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE. If one doesn't, you're at least all set at the Tower and able to select the room type you want.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE, PRICELINE or Expedia links to start your purchases and searches.
groovie99 Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 Thanks a lot for the help..I did as you suggested, booked through Expedia and will see what happens last minute.. anyway, those renovated suites at towers at palace hotel look very nice..thanks again
