I'm finding that this site does not have to many updated hotels on the list. It is rare that I can actually match something. Oh well I booked from 2/22 to 2/24 using the link as always. I tried using pricline, but could not get anything, I need more practice.

Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board.

It is rare that I can actually match something.

About 4 months ago HOTWIRE add new amenities that they show to be associated with their hotels (Free Internet, Free Parking, along with a bunch of 'accessible' amenities). As hotels are reported using these new amenities we update the hotel lists. If you take out the 'new' amenities from the description of the hotel above, you'll see that it does match previous reports for this Staybridge Suites, and for now you have to find 'close' matches like that... or of course ask for help before your purchase and we'll have a look ourselves and try to act as a second set of eyes and confirm what you think you may be seeing.

Thank you for sharing your results with the board and helping us update the Hotwire Hotel List with the new amenity set for this property.

Enjoy your stay.

thanks for the response, I guess there is no way of knowing what the new amenities are correct. Also just wanted to add that I am already not to happy with Staybridge. I called to ask for 2 queens because I am traveling with a business partner that would like his own bed. They are now charging me an extra $50 for the upgrade. On there website they had doubles for $84 per night so no savings with this transaction. Oh well on to the next one :)

For $50 you could have almost receive another room. ;)

If in this situation again in the future this is what i suggest:

First research the hotel website and see if there is a price difference between a room with 1 bed vs. a room with 2 beds and note the difference. Then call the hotel and ask for a room with two beds, sometimes they say 'no problem' and you're set, but if they say anything else, ask if you're able to pay for an upgrade to ensure a room with two beds. Anything less then the price difference from their website is a 'good deal'... anything more i would counter their offer and say that sounds a bit high since the difference in room rate on your website is only '$xx', i'd be willing to pay the difference between the two room rates (assuming it is acceptable to you).

Enjoy your stay.
