Garuda613 Posted February 21, 2013 Author Report Posted February 21, 2013 I'm ok with any other property downtown toronto close to UofT. Would prefer not the ones near lakeshore. But really the true fixed requirement is a sofa chair or sofa bed. Still picking 1 room, 2adults.The rates are now 106/104/91 as mentioned. They seem to fluxuate between day and night. I looked early early this am after you replied, and the rates were higher, I just checked now and they're lower. The 3.5 now seems to say 3.5 Downtown toronto March 7-11, 2013Free InternetPool(s)High-Speed Internet AccessIndoor pool(s)Restaurant(s)Fitness CenterBusiness CenterAccessible path of travelAccessible bathroom **new detail not there before
thereuare Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 But really the true fixed requirement is a sofa chair or sofa bed. Still picking 1 room, 2adults.How do you propose to ensure a sofabed in the room? Even for hotels that have rooms with sofabeds they may not have them in all room types.Do you need more than double occupancy OR are you two people who don't want to sleep in the same bed? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Garuda613 Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 Whoops. I meant sofa chair or sofa. I found the Courtyard Marriott Downtown to be just what I need. Is there any way I can book that hotel in particular? The PRICELINE rate for the specific hotel is quite high at 125.42 no cancel, where booking at the hotel direct with cancellation is 132.00 (for marriott rewards members) This hotel is in the area, and has a sofa chair/sofa. Sorry for all the trouble. But any input would be appreciated. Many thanks.
thereuare Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 Whoops. I meant sofa chair or sofa.Still not something you can guarantee thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE. HOWEVER, what is the true need of the sofabed or chair? If you search HOTWIRE for 2adults/2children you can ensure sleeping accommodations for quad occupancy. While this often means two beds in the room, the second bed could be a pullout sofabed or a rollaway brought into the room. Would this work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Garuda613 Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 True need is a comfortable chair to sit in, as I'll be in that chair, or on that sofa for four days straight studying. That's why I'd like something with high arms like a sofa chair, or a proper couch/sofa. Most suites have them, is there a way to book a suite via hotwire/priceline?? I mean there are tons of suites in these hotels, they can't be left out of the deal sites are they? Thanks!
thereuare Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 PRICELINE and HOTWIRE reservation are for standard rooms... any upgrades or special requests you have would be at the discretion of the hotel (and if they are able/willing to accommodate your request there could be an additional fee, especially if an upgraded room is needed to accommodate your request). When you're at a hotel on a PRICELINE or HOTWIRE rate you're likely in the hotel at one of the lowest rates of any of the guests, so while a hotel may have a suite available, they're not necessarily going to give it you on a complimentary basis. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know if/how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.
