killa2001 Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 I want to bid on a 4* hotel on Miami Beach (zones 8, 14, 15). Which hotels will I most likely get? I wanted to check before I make a bid and cannot cancel.Any suggestions would be helpful.
AaronJB Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. The list of hotels in Florida that have been reported to the board are accessible via the "Can't Find What You're Looking For" box and are linked at the bottom of each thread. Priceline Hotel List Florida. The list provides the hotels that have been reported to the board - other hotels may be reported to the board at any time and star ratings can change at any time.Additionally, please list the desired zones by name. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
killa2001 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 Sorry for not including details. The zones are the following: South Beach - Collins Avenue Oceanfront, South Beach - Ocean Drive, South Beach - Central. This is my first time to Miami but I'll only be there for a day. My budget for a hotel is $250. However, I would like to pay much less (~$150). I want to stay at nice place of the beach. I was even considering staying at Miami Beach. Do you have any suggestions? Which hotels do you think will likely be selected if I use "name your own price"?
killa2001 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 Sorry I meant $350 was my budget, but wanted to spend $150.

thereuare Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 I want to stay at nice place of the beach. With PRICELINE there is no way to know beforehand which hotel will accept your bid. As well, there is also no way to ensure a hotel that is directly on the beach. If you look at PRICELINE's map of the South Beach Central zone you'll see that getting accepted in this zone almost ensures that you WON'T be directly on the beach (although you may not be too far of a walk from it).If you NEED a hotel that is directly on the beach, the best option would be to use HOTWIRE and choose a selection that shows the Beachfront amenity (there is also a Near Beach amenity that is used that implies that the beach is an easy walk from the hotel)Let us know your thoughts/questions and how you would like to proceed... if with PRICELINE, please clarify your budget, as "my budget is $300 but i would like to pay $150" doesn't tell us how high we should go in any given bidding strategy. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and please click each of these previous link before replying.Thanks.
