Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Chicago (North Michigan Ave - River North) Doubletree Chicago Magnificent Mile

Used PRICELINE link and submitted bid for $65 for 3.5* in North Michigan Ave - River North which was unsuccessful. Used rebids in $5 increments up to $90, which gave me a message I could automatically rebid if I added $29. I declined that and used another rebid for $95 and was successful at the Doubletree Chicago Magnificent Mile. Seemed like a bit higher price than other successful bids in this area but that could be because of the hockey games at soldier field on Sunday, which is also the reason I'll be there.

yeah, I probably got a bit anxious and bid before doing enough research. I never checked hotwire which seems to have 3.5* for $83. Oh well, next time.

I'd ask for a high floor - while no guarantees, that may result in a partial view of the surrounding area (lake view is an upgrade.) The Dominicks Grocery on the opposite corner is a good option for cheap snacks/drinks to take back to the hotel or for the day. Let us know if you have any city questions.
