Hotwire Hotel: 3* Chicago (Evanston - Skokie - Niles) Holiday Inn Skokie

I need a place in chicago with a parking lot, my Excursion is too tall for a garage. I'm going to see a show at the Vic Theater March 13-14. Anyway, last time I stayed in Skokie, got the Doubletree. I'm looking on Priceline and the highest rated hotel is a 3-start upscale. It looks to me like it's probably the Holiday Inn North Shore judging by some previous posts. I don't really care what hotel it is but need a parking lot with free parking. What are the chances of getting a hotel with a garage?

Thanks!

The Hilton Garden Inn in Evanston is a remote possibility - it's a 3* in this area, but it's never been reported to the board as participating on the retail side. The Orrington in Evanston would also be a garage possibility - that was upgraded, but it now looks as if it's back to the 3* level if the retail side of the service star rating is an indication.

The HGI and Orrington would charge for parking.

What appears to be the Holiday Inn North Shore is showing for $57 on HOTWIRE - if you do bid for a 3* on PRICELINE for a 3* in the Evanston-Skokie-Niles area, I'd start at $40.

Tried Priceline, had $5 bonus cash bid $35 plus the $5 for $40. Not accepted. Wouldn't let me try again and bonus cash expired. Used Hotwire where I felt safe I would get the Holiday in with parking lot. Don't think I would have gotten Priceline much cheaper even if it was the HI as the taxes and fees were higher. paid $57, 2 nights total $133 w/ free parking. Only there for a show so not to worried about the accommodations. Doing a bit of work then off to the show. If I would have saved anything it would be marginal. Anyway, posted on Hotwire board but info below as well.
