Priceline Hotel: 3* Syracuse (East) Doubletree Hotel Syracuse

Current Doubletree rate is at $119. I expected to be able to get it for about 49% of the retail value but this did not work. I've gotten this hotel for $67 before when the retail value was in the high $130s. Embassy Suites is currently booked (another 3 star in the area)so I think this may have impacted my bid and/or also that it's a long weekend. I started my bids at $55 b/c there is also a 3 start Hilton Garden Inn retailing for $109.

Bid history:

$55 - no dice

selected rebid zone and went for 59 - nope,

rebid zone and 62,

rebid zone and 65,

finally a win at $67.

After my first bid of $55 I was offered a chance to move forward for $76 so based on the past, I expected $67 could win it, but again b/c this is well more than 49% of the retail, I was hoping for lower. But still not bad! PRICELINE never fails! :)
