shelly luo Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 I am interested in two hotels: Sheraton Laguardia East Hotel and Marco Laguardia Hotel By Lexington in flushing. Both are 3* hotels. Any bidding tips to get one of them at a cheaper price?I clicked PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links and searched for hotels through the link.Thank you very much!
thereuare Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for.The trade-off is that PRICELINE is usually a little cheaper than HOTWIRE.Let us know your thoughts and if/how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. shelly luo Posted February 13, 2013 Author Report Posted February 13, 2013 These two are the only 3 star hotels in flushing-whitestone area. If I bid directly, what price should I start with?
thereuare Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 If you haven't yet please read your messages.Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at these hotels thru conventional booking channels? Using this rate as a basis, what would be your maximum bid for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
