I have NO clue what this could be, after all, aren't there only 3 or so 3* choices in Union Square East?

Not too much to go on with this one, but the Chancellor Hotel On Union Square, Petite Auberge, Orchard Hotel, and Triton Hotle would all be amoung the possibilities. Given the retail rates at these properties for your dates, i think the Chancellor may be the most likely of the group, but that's just a guess.

Used PRICELINE link above, for a bid on 3* hotel in union square east area. Bid at $95 and got accepted 2 nights 03/11/13-03/13/13 (the crazy convention week) at the Chancellor Hotel. I am very happy.
