Kenny G. Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 I bid $85 for a 4* Toronto Downtown (South) hotel for 2/14-2/16. First bid accepted for Thompson Toronto. While this looks like a great hotel for the price, it does not have a pool that is open in the winter. I assumed all 4* hotels would have some kind of indoor or indoor/outdoor pool open in the winter. This is not the case. So, be careful if you specifically want a pool. I called and they refunded my charge and cancelled the reservation, as a courtesy. I thought I'd probably get the Sheraton Centre, as two other people got it for around the same dates for $85. I'm wondering if I dare bid again, not wanting to get the Thompson Toronto again. Any suggestions?
AaronJB Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding.Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the result. Was "pool" listed as a guaranteed amenity when bidding? If not, pool is not guaranteed (if an amenity is not shown in general, there's no guarantee and there is no guarantee at all that you will get the same hotel as others, especially if bidding for even slightly different dates.)If you bid again, there is definitely a chance of getting the same hotel.
