tagast Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 First, thanks a ton for the info on this site. I've been using it for years, but mostly for Hotwire. Always clicking through the forum links to help you guys too :) . I'd like to try Priceline bidding for an upcoming trip next month and would appreciate some ideas on how to structure my bidding.Dates: I'll be checking in March 15th and out on March 17th. Location:I'd be fine with either North Michigan Ave (zone 3) or Millennium/Loop/Grant Park area (zone 6), but I'd rather be north of the river if possible. Price: a soft $100/night limit, preferably lower. I'm seeing some decent $120-30 options in these areas on Hotwire and with the Priceline Express deals, so those are probably my last resort.Stars: Nicer is better, but I don't HAVE to have a 4 star. Any thoughts on how to structure my bidding? Thanks a ton!
thereuare Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 I've been using it for years...We're glad to hear that you enjoy the board and have found it helpful over the years. It would be appreciated if you started to share all your wins with the board so that others can benefit from the information as well.Location:I'd be fine with either North Michigan Ave (zone 3) or Millennium/Loop/Grant Park area (zone 6), but I'd rather be north of the river if possible. Are you willing to pay more to stay north of the river vs. a hotel in the Loop... OR is your ultimately goal the least expensive hotel at the star rating that you designate? Did you want to try for a 4* hotel first up to your 'soft' limit if $100?Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. tagast Posted February 8, 2013 Author Report Posted February 8, 2013 I'd say ultimate goal is just the least expensive 4* up to $100 is the goal. I'd rather fullfil that and be in one of those two areas than specifically try for one of them. I'll definitely post my wins, going forward!
