Priceline Hotel: Booking a hotel in Vegas, question about age

I am probably going to be booking a hotel in Vegas soon with the Priceline Name Your Own Price, and since I'm pretty unfamiliar with booking hotels being at 20, I was just wondering if it was a problem if I booked/reserved the hotel myself (with my credit card), and put the reservation name in my friend who is 21 and he bring his photo ID & credit card. Would this be able to work?

When bidding on PRICELINE there are two areas where you put name(s):

1) the credit card info

2) the name of the person checking-in

There shouldn't be any problem with the person if the person whose credit card is used (#1 above) is under 21 years old, as long as person #2 is 21 years old or older.

Budget: Hoping to find a hotel under $50 a night, anywhere really

Have you been to Las Vegas before? What do you intend to do for this trip... gamble, casinos, sit by the pool (although very well may be too cold in March), tour outside the city, etc, etc? Will you have a car?

The Vegas region is geographically quite large, almost 20 miles in diameter, so just trying to make sure that you will actually be happy with a hotel that is 'anywhere really'.

I've been to Vegas 7-8 times before, preferably, I would like the Boulder Strip or the Las Vegas strip south area, however ideally, anything 3 star and above for $50 a night under is fine. We are going to the Monster Jam World Finals at Sam Boyd Stadium (monster trucks) for two days, while the other two days we will be looking for crap to do in Vegas. We also have a car.
