hndapwr Posted February 5, 2013 Author Report Posted February 5, 2013 Do you guys know much about the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals? They have a 3.5 star in downtown Pittsburgh for $59. They show Guaranteed Amenities as Free internet, Pool, Restuarant, Casino and Fitness Center.
thereuare Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 The Sheraton Station Square lists a casino under their amenities (although i don't think they have one onsite) and fits the rest of the description... that would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. hndapwr Posted February 6, 2013 Author Report Posted February 6, 2013 Well, I figured I would try to bid lower than the express deal. I tried $52 for a 3.5 star and they said no, but that I could add add $9. I declined. Logged out, used your PRICELINE link again and bid $55 by adding a zone that didn't have a 3.5. I got the room and you were right, it was the Sheraton Station Square. Best rate I could find for that hotel is $139. Not bad, a savings of $84. Thanks for your help!
AaronJB Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 Congrats on your success.Nice deal for this property - hope you are looking forward to your stay.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
kevin825 Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Hi There,I'm new to the forums. I'm trying to get the Wyndham Grand or the Doubletree. Not sure what the best approach is to start bidding. I noticed that the Express Deals was $68 and it likely would give me the Sheraton Station Square which is okay, but at the end of our list of preferred hotels.
AaronJB Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Kevin,Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please start a new thread with the details of your stay (date/s of travel, desired budget per night/zone/star rating) and we would be happy to offer our thoughts on how to proceed. There is no way to target a particular hotel when bidding. HOTWIRE is a better choice if you are looking for a particular hotel or hotels, but there's still no guarantees (the hotels showing may not be the one/s you want, etc.) Both services require flexibility in terms of where you end up.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
