Hi, I seem to be having no luck with my bids. I have offered 150 / night for 4 and 3 1/2 * but it keeps coming up as unavailable! So frustrated! Also am I able to use an Australian cc?

I picked the following - Midtown East , Chelsea Area , Central Park South, Madison Square Garden - Convention Area , SoHo - Tribeca , Midtown West , New York City , Times Square - Theatre District , Empire State Building Area , Lower East Side , Upper West Side , Upper East Side, Queensborough Bridge.

Also went from $125-150/night for 4 and 3.5 *

Also I am using an Australian CC.

Spring is an expensive time of year in NYC and i wouldn't be surprised if $150 was not enough for a 3.5* or higher hotel for your complete stay.

Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find for a 3.5* or 4* hotel in the zones that you've been bidding? What is your maximum bid for this trip before you consider lowering your star rating?

So what would you suggest that I bid for hotels with these ratings? Also would you know if there are rooms available on these dates?

At current prices a 4* will likely run you ~$200-$220/nite and a 3.5* about $185-$205.
