calmac Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 Hi, we (2 adults + 1 child, age 10) are planning to stay in NYC for 2 nights from April 4th-6th.Hotwire is showing a Midtown Central 3* for $98. The amenities are Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center. It is also showing as a customer favourite. From this site this appears to be the Sheraton Manhattan. The cheapest we have found, not through Hotwire, is $150+tax per night.Does the Hotwire deal some a good one to you or is April 2006 too far in advance to be looking at Hotwire?
thereuare Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! It's a good price for a 3* hotel in Manhattan and a few other users have already taken advantage of this offer for dates in 2006.Very hard to predict where rates will be in April of '06... i doubt a 3* would be available for too much less, could be higher; i think the 'risk' is if you would be able to get a 4* for $20-$40 more per nite... something you may or may not take advantage of even if it were available. So it really comes down to how much you want to spend and/or if you're looking for a 3* property. Let us know what you decide or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
olyrc Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Not sure if it will work the same for you, but I just got the Sheraton Manhattan on Priceline March 8-13 2006 for $90/nt. bidding first shot for a 3*.-olyrc
