Dunworkin Posted March 7, 2013 Author Report Posted March 7, 2013 Ok, went throught the link to PRICELINE Express deals and took the following hotel for $66. 2 star Hotel in Miami Intl Airport MIAAmenities:Free ParkingFree BreakfastFree InternetAirport ShuttlePool(s)In-room accessibilityThis turned out to be the Red Roof Inn as predicted so thank you for that and it seems I got a better deal through Priceline then when I found this on Hotwire originally for $74. Trip advisor reviews are pretty mixed so not sure what shape this place is in - will let you know after we stay there.thanks again for your help :)

Dunworkin Posted April 11, 2013 Author Report Posted April 11, 2013 Ok just back from Miami and we spent two nights at the Red Roof Inn out by the airport which we got through PRICELINE EXPRESS. The amenities listed were 2 star Hotel in Miami Intl Airport MIAAmenities:Free ParkingFree BreakfastFree InternetAirport ShuttlePool(s)In-room accessibilityThis hotel meets the bare minimums across the board. It was clean and close to the airport but the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on out in the hall. It is somewhat isolated and hard to get to off the highway and there is only a run down Bennigans next door for restaurant meals. The breakfast was very minimal continental but was free as was the parking and internet. The pool was very nice and clean but you are treated to very loud airplanes flying overhead about 5 mins apart. There is a room safe available at $1.50/day and a business computer and printer in the lobby but you have to pay for time on the PC and for printing. All in all we were satisfied with the place for the price but it is the baseline for 2* acceptability.
thereuare Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 While perhaps not the best property, glad to hear you were satisfied with the stay and it worked for your needs. Thanks for the follow-up!
