CMacD
This is my first ever try at bidding for a hotel online as well as my first ever trip to San Diego. My husband and I are celebrating our first anniversary, hence my desire for a 4*, but suggestions are welcome if something else would better suit us. We'll be seeing Sea World, the Zoo, and the wild animal park.October 8-12 (2 adults)Coastal - San Diego CoastalCentral - CoronadoCentral- Sea World-Mission Bay-Shelter IslandThese are the areas I was planning on considering, although I'd ideally like to stay at the Del!Prices I've been finding are about $179-250+ for this area.Advice greatly appreciated!CMacD Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Were you looking to bid on a hotel using priceline, or purchase one using Hotwire? You described Hotwire zones (priceline's are slightly different) but mentioned bidding... which there is none of with Hotwire. The short version is that Priceline is usually a bit cheaper, but Hotwire usually gives you a bit more control over guessing the hotel you will actually receive. You can read more here: I'VE NEVER USED PRICELINE or HOTWIRE.Let us know which way you'd like to proceed (or either) and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
CMacD
Oops! Okay, so hotwire, I select zone and they give me available prices, but not hotel name and priceline I select zone and enter bid, have I got it? The only reason I was leaning towards hotwire was because the Del was listed on their site and I didn't see it on Priceline. For Priceline, in this order:CoronadoSan Diego CoastalPoint Loma, Shelter Island, Old TownThanks!CMacD Link to comment
thereuare
... and what is your maximum bid amount? (so that we don't go over what you want to spend) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
