Not very happy about this win as the only 4* listed in Chelsea on the Priceline list was Eventi and Hilton (Fashion District)! I would not have bid this amount if I knew that there was a chance of winning something else. At least it is for only 2 days, but now I am leary as I have 5 more days of our trip to book and am not feeling very trusting of PL. I really want Ink48 or something in Tribeca or Soho so hopefully there is time to bid & perhaps get a reasonable price for those areas and I guess if I keep my bids on a lower end it won't be so bad if another "unlisted" hotel wins! By reasonable I mean at least $30 lower than what Hotwire or Hotels.com offer as that is the trade off - choosing and paying a little bit more or using PL and gambling. I would like to know if Hells Kitchen may have a stray that will win, I want Ink48 and it is the only one on the list, but it's my first and highest bid - worried! Now it brings to mind one more thought, if I am using an area for an extra bid thinking it has no 4*, now it realize that is taking a chance. Just when I thought I was a PL pro- a monkey wrench is thrown in! <_<

Oh well, once there I will be, as always, happy as a clam!

Sorry to see you received a hotel that you didn't expect. As per the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List, there is always a chance that you receive a hotel that has not yet been reported to the board OR where the star rating has changed since the hotel was last reported.

In terms of re-bidding, you shouldn't be using the hotel lists to determine your re-bid zones (also mentioned at the top of the hotel list)... the only method that should be used is the one outlined here: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained. Feel free to ask any questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before bidding.

Thank you... I've used PL for 12 years, I remember being unhappy with a winning bid for the Millennium downtown- yet it turned out to be one of my favorites!
