It is right next to highway 75, which is very convenient. It is a nice 3 stories building with parking lot, one indoor bar, one indoor restaurant, one indoor area (for weddings and business conference), not friendly front desk (maybe its because I asked too many questions), one swimming pool and a hot tub, and a bit beat-up elevator.

The first floor (ground floor) has some rooms facing the swimming pool, which can walk out directly to the pool from the room. It might be an advantage to stay in those rooms.

It is a regular 3 stars hotel experience with some negative attributes. No hair conditioner, fee for local calls, and no free movie channel. The carpet is a bit unclean and a some what small restroom. The restroom lock not working when closed. Air conditioning is either on or off. The fan is on 100% of the time if it is turned on, and cool air comes out depends on the adjusting knob.

2 Shuttles can take you to places to shop and eat, but they wouldn't take you to the airport. AVIS car rental is a block or 2 away.

I would give this hotel a C+ for a 3 star hotel.

I stayed here in November 2005(Paid $40 a night, thank you better bidding!) . The address is confusing but it is right on the service road fronting 75, if you are not used to Texas roads it can really throw you. Takes about a half hour to get into DT Dallas and about 45 minutes to Ft Worth. Fairly close to DART station. Has a local chain mexican restaurant next door. The 75 flyover was being finished while I was there.

I had the first floor room with the sliding door to the courtyard pool. Very convenient for my swimming kids if you are so inclined ask the desk for it, they were friendly to me and mine. The hotel has a kick but wifi.

Complaints: The interior is getting tired and smells a little musty. Mind you I am allergic to mold and was not set off by the odor. They push the southfork house tour. Parking is real scarce when they are having an event. Seems like the neighborhood is poor, with alot of hispanics living in the area (a large aprtment complex is next door). I don't know what the crime rate is in the neighborhood, but the whole time there I never felt threatened. If you are in the neighborhood check out downtown (oldtown) Plano only a few blocks east. DART lightrail can be picked up there. Too bad the train does not go to the airport.
