PTBDA Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 Hi, as the zones do not line up exactly on PL (20 bidding zones vs. 10 in hotel view) I wanted to see if it can be confirmed that none of Escondido-Vista, Chula Vista South and San Ysidro-Mexico border (from the bidding zones) contain 4 star hotels as I am rebidding on Gaslamp-North area. Thanks!
PTBDA Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Posted February 1, 2013 Hi, trying to Id the following Help ID 4 Star in San Diego Gas Lamp Quarter North "SuperSaver" from Hotwire with amenities: Free Internet, Smoke Free, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High Speed Internet and Business Center. Thanks!
thereuare Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 I assumed that these were for the same stay so i have merged your threads... please keep all posts for the same trip in the same thread. What are the dates of your stay?It appears that you're trying to use the 'retail' side of PRICELINE to determine the re-bid zones you have on the 'bidding' side, but this is not the correct method. See Priceline Re-Bidding Explained for the correct method to use and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before bidding (at the 4* level in San Diego you have EIGHTEEN re-bid zones). If you read the previous thread and are confused just post back and we'll break it down further for you. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. PTBDA Posted February 2, 2013 Author Report Posted February 2, 2013 Thanks, yes, same trip. March 3-7/13, I was using the retail and bid site, so I will reread. Thanks. Any help on the HOTWIRE request would be great, thanks again.
thereuare Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 I'm not currently seeing any 4* property offered in the Gaslamp Quarter North zone when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing the above on your own search? If so, are you searching HOTWIRE for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?Is you game plan to first try bidding on PRICELINE up to your maximum for the best price OR is there a property that you're hoping for that you'd be willing to pay the HOTWIRE rate before bidding? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. PTBDA Posted February 3, 2013 Author Report Posted February 3, 2013 I think I am going to give PRICELINE one more try around $160, if not i will go with the 4.5 star on HOTWIRE. The 4 Star Super Saver was gone when I went back in.....snooze you lose I guess. Thanks
thereuare Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 Good luck on the next round of bidding and let us know if/how we can be of further help.Whether you end up with PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, please use the EDIT TO REPORT WIN button on the lower right corner of this page as the thread will then automatically move to the right section of the board (if necessary). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
