Priceline Express Deals has a "Seaport-Convention Center" 4-star hotel for $215 March 21-25. The three hotels on your list -- Westin, Renaissance and Seaport -- all say they have no rooms available on those dates. Who do I believe?

It lists only four "guaranteed amenities": indoor or outdoor pool, restaurant, business center, fitness center

It's rated 8.0 "or higher."

It allows me to choose 1-bed or 2-bed (same price)

Thank you!

You should believe the comments at the top of the Hotel List indicating that the hotel lists should not be considered complete and there may be other hotels that do not appear in the hotel lists. ;) As well, the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals are fairly new, and there is no way to know if the same hotels are used on each side of their service... it is known that some hotels on the 'bidding' side of their service don't participate in the 'retail' side, and vice-versa, so it would also make sense that the same applies to their PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals.

We have seen hotels won when the hotel otherwise showed a sold-out condition, but this is much more the exception then the rule. If it is one of the hotels above my guess would be the Westin, but it could just as easily be some otherwise not yet reported to the board property, as these amenities are extremely common for a 4* hotel.

Is there something in particular you're looking for from this stay, as this area is not that big and also not the one first looked at by the typical visitor, unless you have a convention that you're attending.

Thanks for your continued help. My son will be attending a convention; I'll be sightseeing. Can't decide whether to stay in a hotel that's more convenient for him or for me! And I'm reluctant to use PRICELINE Name Your Price or even HOTWIRE, since they can't guarantee two beds. We have reservations at Park Plaza for $165 (convention rate) but I wonder if that's the best place to be.

Search HOTWIRE for 2adults/2children as this would ensure separate sleeping accommodations for you and your son, but the second 'accommodation' could be a sofabed or rollaway brought into the room.

You may not be able to beat the $165/nite rate you have as a backup, but you can likely increase the quality of your accommodations for not too much more.
