lamchopps Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 Hello, this is my first time using this forum and using Hotwire as well.Accessibility to a Metro station and consideration that this is my first trip I'm taking with my significant other & it's her first time going to NYC (ie. cleanliness) are priorities :)I am highly considering two 4* hotels for Mar 27 to Apr 01, 2013. Here are the following details from the Hotwire site:4* for $186 in Central Park East:BoutiqueRestaurantHigh speed internet4* for $186 in Soho/Financial district:Free internetFitness centerBusiness centerLaundry facilitiesHigh speed internetI appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you!
AaronJB Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Are you still seeing the 4* CPE? I'm not seeing it when searching this evening. The 4* Downtown would be a possible match for the Club Quarters World Trade or World Center Hotel.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
lamchopps Posted January 31, 2013 Author Report Posted January 31, 2013 Hi, thanks for the quick reply.Yes, I'm still seeing the CPE 4* hotel for $182 now. My concern with staying somewhere this "far" north in Manhattan would be travel time to touristy places like World Trade Center area / Statue of Liberty and shopping areas like Soho via the Metro. My preference would be Midtown East/West, but alas prices are high there. You seem like a New York expert- what do you think? (Btw, I've tried Priceline for $168 (as far north as Central Park South and as far south as Chelsea/Empire State Building) but no luck- will try up to $185ish tomorrow)Thanks!
thereuare Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 What is your maximum budget per nite for this trip... i see above rates are ~$185, could you stretch to say $205/nite? $225/nite?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
