macaron Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 I've never done hotwire before but I think I understand the process. Here is the hotel in question:Dates: 4/5-4/7Location: South Beach Oceanfront CollinsPrice: $366/nightStar Level: 5*Amenities: Resort, beachfront, smoke-free, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, spa, high speed internet, blind/deaf accessible, accessible path, handicapped parking, accessible bathroom, roll-in showerRecommended: 95% hotwire customersResort fee: YesThe resort fee excludes hotels such as The Setai, Ritz Carlton, Delano, W etc. I don't think it can be the James because the regular priceline price is $345/night. Or maybe it can? Can hotwire prices be close to or higher than published priceline prices?Any clues as to what hotel it may be?

macaron Posted January 30, 2013 Author Report Posted January 30, 2013 I'm a bit confused by why you had me go through that but I did anyway. I intended on purchasing via the links on this website as I'm aware that's how you guys get paid. Any insights would be appreciated.

macaron Posted January 31, 2013 Author Report Posted January 31, 2013 Yes, there's in-room accessibility. Does this mean it's most likely The James?
thereuare Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Can hotwire prices be close to or higher than published priceline prices? In rare instances yes, but HOTWIRE does offer a 'Best Price Guarantee' on the room rate should it happen (although taxes/fees can have you end up paying a bit more than actually booking at the lower rate)Unfortunately the 5 star hotel above has not yet been reported to the board and although i researched, wasn't able to gain any insight into this property. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. macaron Posted January 31, 2013 Author Report Posted January 31, 2013 I'm watching the price as of this moment. I think it's a bit too high to take it, especially if it turns out to be something like The James. If I do decide to purchase it I will definitely use your site to make the purchase. Thanks for all of your help!
