thereuare Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. The Chicago South Loop Hotel would be my best guess for this one.Are you in town for a covention, for if not, this is not necessarily the best location for the average visitor. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Thanks! As noted, this is definitely not a convenient area for visiting the city - there's really nothing much around in this area and it's really only best for those going to McCormick for a convention.I will say if you would like to stay in an area different than the two main downtown areas (Loop or NMA), I'd MUCH rather suggest Lincoln Park, which has the Zoo, Second City (in nearby Old Town) and a wealth of restaurants and local shopping options. Additionally, it's a very nice walk (although moderate-to-long, depending on where in the zone) from Lincoln Park to the NMA area.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
manderson Posted January 30, 2013 Author Report Posted January 30, 2013 I have something going on in Chinatown while I'm in town, and I thought I'd also check out the Adler, Shedd or Field -- so it seemed like a good area in which to stay. However, if this hotel is indeed the Chicago South Loop, it's further south than I want. I'll just wait until close to my trip and PRICELINE bid on something more central. I've always had good luck with that. I will be sure to use these links, and report my results. I won't be booking per my original post. Is that enough to close out this thread? Thanks.
