beldwell
I'd like to see what kind of deals are available for a 5* on the strip for 5/7 - 5/11. Before I begin, I wanted to make sure I know what hotels are available in each zone. It appears that the 5* hotels in Strip North are Palazzo, Venetian, and Wynn. The 5* hotel in the Strip Vicinity North is the Trump. However, I'm confused on what is considered the South Zone. It looks like the 5* options in the South Vacinity South include Aria, Cosmopolitan and Vdara? The pinned hotels lists shows a Strip South, but is that now the Strip Vicinity South? Hotwire is showing 5* hotels for these dates at $92ish. Where would you begin a Priceline bid? I just want the best hotel for the price, the location doesn't matter to me for this trip. thereuare
In the Priceline Hotel List the Strip Vicinity South is the same as the Strip South. HOWEVER, note the comments at the top of the hotel list, as new hotels can be added any any time and star rating changes can occur as well.Is the Trump an acceptable option for this stay? (you can include/exclude it by include/exclude the Strip Vicinity North zone) What is your maximum bid for this trip?Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. beldwell
I prefer NOT to to stay at the Trump, so I will stay away from the Strip Vicinity North zone.My max bid at this point is $85, since I can get a hotel on Hotwire for $92.I tried yesterday at $60 and $65, no dice. After researching the available rebid zones, I'm ready to begin at $70 with a rebid zone strategy today. I believe the available rebid zones include (Boulder Strip, Fremont and Henderson)? If I don't land something today on Priceline, I'll probably just snag something on HOTWIRE. I'm assuming if rates are already that low, they won't be going anywhere but up. Do you agree?Of course, I will be using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links! Link to comment
thereuare
The $92 hotel i'm currently seeing on HOTWIRE in the Strip North zone is most likely the Trump, so do you want to raise your maximum bid since this offer isn't really a viable purchase for your stay since you're looking to avoid this property? Also, when bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. See this thread, Priceline Re-Bidding Explained, and see if you can determine all ELEVEN of them; feel free to ask questions and/or confirm them with the board.Once we have your re-bid zones and maximum bid confirmed we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the requested PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for your searches too, and click each of these previous links before replying.Thanks.
