kvm226 Posted January 23, 2013 Report Share Posted January 23, 2013 Hi! I'm new to Priceline/hotwire and am going to a wedding in Nashville, TN from 3/8-3/10. The reception site is at 170 Second Avenue North in Nashville, and we would like to stay within less than a mile of that. 3 1/2 or 4 star. Any advice on how to bid? We don't really want to pay more than $100 a night ... not sure if that is doable or not. Thanks!! Link to comment

Would any PRICELINE zones be acceptable? HOTWIRE allows one to make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing, but there's no guarantee (the information hotels show with may change, there may be multiple hotels that appear the same way, etc.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Romelle Posted January 23, 2013 Report Share Posted January 23, 2013 Your address is in the Downtown - Vanderbilt - Metrocenter PRICELINE bidding zone. Worst case, if you got a hotel within that zone, but as far away as possible, you'd be about 3 miles from the wedding. If you get into Priceline (via that box in the upper right hand corner) you can see the zone. You also can zoom in and see detail right down to street names.With Ho.twire, the zone is shaped differently, but it still would be possible to land a hotel close to 3 miles from the wedding. Things can change, but all HOTWIRE has in that zone right now is 2 1/2* ($75) and lower. Romelle Link to comment

Hotel markers, along with their star rating and prices for your dates, will be shown and makes it easy to see how much more/less it would cost to go up/down in star rating OR to stay closer/further from your ideal location.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
