schrolodex
I'll be traveling from Chicago to Houston for SXSW in Austin (visiting family in Houston then driving to Austin). I'm tentatively planning to travel to Houston March 12, and return March 18, but those dates are somewhat flexible. I'm new to the whole Priceline thing for flights. My question is, what should I submit as a bid for this flight? Am I likely to get anything cheaper than what's currently shown on Expedia and other travel sites? If I go super cheap, am I basically ensuring that I'll be flying Spirit Airlines (not ideal)? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Link to comment

What is the breakdown between bases far and fees/taxes?How much of a discount from this rate would you need to make an opaque purchase worthwhile? (not choosing flight times, layover city, length of layover, airline, etc)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
