Just booked the Roosevelt Hotel in NYC Midtown East. I had hoped for the W by Westin.

Nice rate for this NYC property, although sorry to hear it wasn't the hotel you were hoping for.

I would recommend against staying here. I stayed here during the last week of Nov 2012 and the place was not a 4* (as advertised by Hotwire), a 3 1/2* would be gracious. I visit NYC on a quarterly basis for business and have stayed at dozens of hotels there. I will not be back to the Roosevelt.

Service was about middle of the road, rooms were tiny (even by NYC standards), my bathroom was the size of a small walk-in closet and the door wouldn't full open as it was stopped by the shower. No tub and dirty. Room was dirty. Not thrilled. Complained to Hotwire, not to get a refund, but to save others from making the same mistake.
