jonbon Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 This will be my first booking with priceline and am a little nervous. I plan a week's trip from TLH to Buf (rent a car and travel to Toronto). My bid of $125 and was blown off. I raised it to $150 and I got to the credit card screen as well as an offer to add a car rental. I added the car rental and was invited to enter my credit card info etc.Questions:Does the price quoted by Priceline mean that it has been accepted or that it is simply a bid and I must wait to see if an airline/rental company will accept it?If it is accepted, will the flight times and rental pickup/drop-off times be coordinated?Sorry if these are newbie questions. Thanks.
thereuare Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 What do you mean by your first bid was "blown off"? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jonbon Posted August 24, 2005 Author Report Posted August 24, 2005 What do you mean by your first bid was "blown off"? Sorry. What I meant was that my initial bid of $125 was apparantly too low to be considered and I was asked to increase it. So I did.
thereuare Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 In that case the credit card information is required before they attempt to check your bid... entering your credit card information does not mean that they have found a supplier to fufill your request at your bid amount (but if they do you will be charged immediately and you 'own' it) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
