kudos98 Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 Hi,There are 3 resorts available today with big price differences. I want to get the Grand Hyatt, but how do I avoid the lower price "resorts?" The prices starts from $159 to $599 in the resort category.Reviewing past info, looks like $150-$160 is a good price to get the Hyatt, but if I bid that and the other hotels jump in?We are looking for Feb 1 to Feb 5 2013.Thanks for your help.

kudos98 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 I did the link clicks.Could you help?I'm thinking bidding $170, but that's actually higher than the lowest priced resort in that area. Will I then automatically get the lower resort? Thanks
thereuare Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 I'm thinking bidding $170, but that's actually higher than the lowest priced resort in that area. Will I then automatically get the lower resort? You could end up overpaying for one of the resort class hotels you're trying to avoid. See this thread for a further discussion on this subject: Don't Bid Higher for a Specific Hotel. When trying to target, or avoid, a particular property HOTWIRE is usually a better option, as you can often include/exclude some options based upon the amenities and any other information shown by HOTWIRE. Have you checked HOTWIRE at all to see if what appears to be the Grand Hyatt is offered for your dates? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
