Heading to Vegas on Saturday April 6th and leaving Tuesday April 9th so I need a 5* on the strip for 3 nights. Can you give me a strategy for this? The max I want to spend (before taxes) is $125.

I prefer Strip North......... but will also open up to Vegas Strip South as well if need be.

Can you please give me a strategy for this.

Is Summerlin a re-bid zone for this since they have a resort? Are there any areas that are not re-bid zones for Vegas Strip North for a 5*? I just want to make sure I don't end up in Summerlin at the JW - I've made that mistake before last year when I made a mistake on a rebid for a 4*.

Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!!!!

Did you want to first bid up to your maximum bid for a Strip North property, then if rejected try for the Strip South zone... or is price ultimately the most important factor and you'd like the least expensive 5* hotel in either of these zones?

Is Summerlin a re-bid zone for this since they have a resort? Are there any areas that are not re-bid zones for Vegas Strip North for a 5*?

Currently Summerlins is an acceptable re-bid zone at the 5* level... but not a re-bid zone at the 4* level. When bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones... Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North offers 5* hotels and therefore is NOT a re-bid zone.

Also, is Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South the same as Las Vegas Strip South?

Yes.

Please follow-up your previous Priceline San Diego thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip... then reply to this topic letting us know regarding the Strip North / Strip South zones above and we'll advise accordingly.

Yes, my plan is to bid up to my max bid and then add Las Vegas Strip South vacinity towards the end of it. I will increase my max bid, if necessary but was hoping to stay at $125 max (before taxes).

Thank you in advance for your help.

Currently i think a 5* Strip North property will be difficult with your $125 budget, but a Strip South property can likely be had for somewhat less. I would bid as follows:

When bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 5* Strip North...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $118, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $123, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $125, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 5* Strip South...

Bid $70, if rejected add Strip North...

Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $93, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $100

Thank you for your help!!!

I got the Venetian for April 6th - April 9th for $135 per night - just over my budget but that's OK! The total with taxes for the 3 nights is $468.63. The best rate booking directly from their website is $239 per night. I decided I would go up to $150 and thought I may have to because of March Madness. The Final 4 is Saturday night and the finals is Monday so we will catch them both why we are in Vegas. Thanks for all of your help on the re-bid zone. I started at $100 and went up at $5 increments adding a free re-bid zone each time and finally scored at $135. We could not be happier.

I used the PRICELINE link from your site.

thanks again!

Congratulations on your success!

This is a VERY NICE deal for this property during March Madness, which is one of the busiest sports-related dates in Vegas... it's a crazy scene at the casinos sports books and should be a great time! (get there early if you want to watch the games)

Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.

Enjoy your stay.
