Pete1801 Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 HiI'm looking to book 4 nights on the Las Vegas strip from 8th August 2013. One double room. We'd like to get one of the 5 star hotels - pref Venetian or palazzo, not Trump. Ideally paying <$100 per night, but willing to go a bit higher if we need to.Any tips on best route to take for this?Any help gratefully received.ThanksPete
AaronJB Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Is North Strip the only acceptable zone, or would South Strip also be acceptable? $100 is - at this point (rates can go up or down between now and your stay, there is no way to know) - unlikely in the Strip North zone at the 5* level, although likely in the Strip South area. HOTWIRE is showing what appears to be the Aria for $100 (the price you see may vary slightly.). Let us know your thoughts.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Pete1801 Posted January 13, 2013 Author Report Posted January 13, 2013 Thanks.I don't know the south strip hotels so well, so will need to research a bit on those. Is the Aria, for example, well regarded?Actually I've just realised I meant to say budget is £100 GBP so more like $150-160Just done a Hotwire (uk) search and for the north strip, 5*, £73/night there is a hotel listed with the following amenitiesFree ParkingResortSpa ServicesSmoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterDo you know which hotel that might be?
thereuare Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 Please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase. What is the room rate per nite, as it appears on the HOTWIRE US site? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Romelle Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 If you haven't found it yet, I think you'd like the Hotel Review section at the very end of this site. Since it is from members here, it can include the perspective of getting a fine bargain. For a more general hotel review site, www.tripadvisor.com can be very useful.Romelle
