PSURoss Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 I just started searching via your site's links. I came across a $100 4* for 2/6-2/8 on Hotwire. Any idea what the hotel might be? Also, any thoughts on getting a suite hotel or adjoining rooms?4-star Hotel in Central Park EastThis Hotel features the following amenities:Boutique Hotel Property offers a distinctive, unique or eclectic atmosphere. BelfastBelle Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 I am VERY new to this and so I could be wrong but I was looking at the same listing on HOTWIRE and based on the tripadvisor review + star rating, I came up with the Bentley hotel.
thereuare Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 PSURoss and BelfastBelle,If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. This property has not yet been reported to the board, but the Bentley Hotel would be a good guess and would also be consistent with generally positive hotel comments about this hotel except for the 3.5/5.0 in terms of location... this property is located quite a bit far to the east. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide or if we can be of further help (and BelfastBelle feel free to start a NEW TOPIC for your own stay if you'd like any assistance or to report a 'win')Let us know what you each decide to do or if we can be of further help. PSURoss Posted January 11, 2013 Author Report Posted January 11, 2013 I have read my messages and I used your links for my initial searches. It seems their rack rate right now is like $115, some discount that ends on the 31st so not such a killer deal. Any thoughts on getting suites or a place with adjoining rooms?
thereuare Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 Any thoughts on getting suites or a place with adjoining rooms?A suite is not likely thru the opaque providers... you may be able to negotiate an upgrade for an additional fee, but you can't count on this, and in NYC i would venture a guess that it's likely cost prohibitive (the rate the hotel would ask wouldn't be worth it for most users)As far as adjoining rooms, this would be a request you could put in with the hotel after you learn the name, but as each hotel has a different number of rooms that are connecting (and some have no connecting rooms at all), this would be hit-or-miss and highly dependent upon what is available at the time you check-in.What exactly is the make-up your group/family (how many adults/children) and how many rooms do you need? What is your target budget? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
