kaelyne Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 :) We are trying to take a last minute trip over this Labor Day weekend to Vegas. I have used Hotwire's hotel service before but have never tried the bidding process on Priceline at all.We are hoping to get the Paris, NY NY or MGM (or better) and the cheapest going rate we've found online for that time period is running about $600 for NYNY.Any suggestions?
thereuare Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Are you searching for more than two people, as i was quickly able to find:Treasure Island @ $487NYNY @ $540Also, if you are willing to SPLIT you may be able to get the Venetian very cheaply for at least one of your nites.Let us know your thoughts regarding the above (splitting and the other two prroperties) and we'll advise from there. kaelyne Posted August 23, 2005 Author Report Posted August 23, 2005 Thanks for the reply!!We would absolutely be willing to split.. every night if it would help!We are just hoping to get in one of the nicer well known hotels that are in the thick of the activities like NY NY, Mirage, MGM, Paris, etc for our whole stay instead of ending up somewhere either unknown or low scale like Circus Circus or Excalibur.Do you think there is any chance of getting any of those for any cheaper than the $540 you found? Or are we just out of luck with the holiday and all?Thank you sooooo much for your help. It is MUCH apprecaited. :-)
thereuare Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 As you can see you can avoid the 'unkown' and still be well under $600.The question is how much more would you be willing to spend over the above rates in order to stay at someplace like the Venetian (keep in mind that this would also involve the inconvenience of changing hotels).
