12asher Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 I am planning a visit to NYC in april or may 2013.I like the midtown west area and prefer a 4 star hotel. Are weekdays or weekends better for bidding? When would be a good time to start bidding for these months? Thanks 12asher
thereuare Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! Not sure which of these questions you're asking so i'll answer both... Typically weekend nites in NYC are cheaper then midweek nites. If on the otherhand you're asking if you're not asking about the nites of your stay but asking about when you should actually place your bids, in this sense it doesn't matter what day of the week or what time of day you place your bid.I'd suggest starting to bid once your plans are firm... you can start off slow and gradually increase your bids towards your maximum bid. Do note that Spring is seasonally one of the busier times of year in NYC.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know once your dates are firm and you're ready to start bidding and we'll take a closer look at the particulars of your trip. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
12asher Posted January 9, 2013 Author Report Posted January 9, 2013 Thanks for your advice. I hope to have my flight plans early in Feb. Should I start bidding that early for April or May? 12asher
AaronJB Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 Yes, you should start looking at what prices are like, planning and starting bidding in Feb for April/May, as Spring in NYC - with nicer weather - is a busier time of year.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
