Welcome to BetterBidding!

Please start by reading your messages and clicking each of these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links... then reply to this thread and we'll have a look at your post above.

Also, are you aware that star ratings in Europe are a bit more 'generous' then their US counterparts? I'd be very cautious of a 2* rated hotel in Europe, especially one that only has a 65% recommendation from previous guests. What is the price of the hotel above and what is your maximum budget for this trip?

Hi, I've checked my messages and clicked in the links, and of course I will use the betterbidding links to book/bid/rebid :)

My maximum budget for hotels would be US$ 100,00. I'm looking for hotels with good locations in the city, in order to avoid taking taxis/too much metros to get to the touristic places.

Do you think I can get better deals by using PRICELINE instead of HOTWIRE?

I'm looking for hotels in France and England as well, for the last week of april/first week of may, any kind of

help would be great.

Thanks for the help

Generally speaking PRICELINE is a little cheaper than hotwire, but HOTWIRE gives you the ability to take a guess as to the hotel you may receive as well as some insight as to the amenities offered and reviews by previous guests (which at the lower rated hotels can provide you a little peace of mind).

So ultimately it depends upon your needs for this trip... if you're looking for the absolute lowest price and can accept a hotel anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone(s), then PRICELINE is likely your better bet... if the zone is large and/or not covered well by mass transit, or if there are some hotels in the zone that you're hoping to avoid, then HOTWIRE may be a better choice since you can guess the hotel and see some user review ratings before your purchase, but it will likely cost you a bit more than PRICELINE.

Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. As well, please let us know the actual dates of your stay for this London leg of your trip.

If you go back to HOTWIRE does this hotel also show a Hi-Speed Internet amenity?

This property has a 25% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests and rates fairly poorly on all the criteria that HOTWIRE asks guests to evaluate (3.0/5.0 across the board except for 'Condition of Hotel' where it gets a 2.5/5.0)... you're likely best to look someplace other than this one. ;)

Yes, It does :). Searching I've found this betterbidding Hotwire London Hotel forum thread.

Which ended up to be DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London - West End, it is your same guess? :)

If yes, what do you think about the price? It seems to be very reasonable, but it has got

a tax of $95.82 to be included as well :/

Thanks
