Priceline Hotel: Bidding Help - 4 star - SoHo - Tribecca region

Hi,

Looking for a bit of Bid advice..

My wife is off to New York on 13 March - 18th March. She would like to stay in the SoHo - Tribecca area.

I was hoping to get a good 4 star deal for her (but 3.5 star may suffice if that's not possible)

My bids through Priceline for the SoHo - Tribecca region for 4 star hotels up to $130 have been rejected.. any idea's of what a successful bid may be? same with 3.5 star, what should I be bidding for that?

We actually don't see that much 4* bidding in this zone as most users prefer a midtown location as a launching pad to get to other parts of the city. As well, since there are more hotels in midtown vs. this zone there are more hotels competing for business and as a result rates are often a little better.

If she only wants to stay in this zone i suspect you'll likely be looking in the $165-$185 area.
