schiba Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 These days i am bidding as well for 16-20 January for a 4 star St Germain-Latin Quarter area targeted. On "express deals" offers a hotel with 4* with review score 7,0 but when i check the regular list there is no 4*in that area with 7,0 rating. What i am missing?
thereuare Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 See the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel ListThis list is NOT a complete list of all hotels that Priceline offers in this area, it is ONLY a compilation of hotels that have already been reported on this forum. Hotels are added/removed by Priceline all the time, and star ratings can change at ANY time....How high have you bid on PRICELINE? What is the room rate and amenities of the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Romelle Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 The now three areas on Priceline - retail (or "regular"), express, and bidding (NYOP) - can each contain hotels not on the other ones. I've personally gotten hotels via bidding that are not on the retail area, and there are hotels on the retail area that never have come up on the bidding area. Although it still is a pretty new product, the same logic applies to the express area. You won't necessarily find express hotels on either the retail or the bidding areas.Romelle
thereuare Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 In addition to the information provided above by Romelle i will add that on the 'retail' side PRICELINE uses different zone names and boundaries than the 'bidding' side of PRICELINE, which is another reason why you may not be finding a 'match'.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
