BradOnTheGo Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 I am having difficulty discerning the difference between two 4* hotels in this area to book for 4/26/13-4/29/13.The only difference I can find is that one is recommended in 85% of Hotwire reviews while the other is 95%. I assume these two are Treasure Island and The Mirage. I am hoping to book The Mirage. They have the same amenities:Resort Free Parking Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Any help provided would be appreciated.-BradOnTheGo

BradOnTheGo Posted January 7, 2013 Author Report Posted January 7, 2013 Done! (I have been using this site for years before booking through PRICELINE or HOTWIRE - always use your links - this site is ever so helpful)!
thereuare Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 It's possible that these are each the same hotel, and if that is is the case my guess would be Treasure Island.HOWEVER, if they are different, i would think the 85%/$97 nite property is the Treasure Island and the 95%/$107 nite property is The Mirage as there is one other difference between the two... the 85% recommended property has 500+ reviews while the 95% recommended property has 40+ reviews. The Treasure Island is seem much more frequently then the Mirage, so that would account for the different in numbers, although the 'percent recommended' values shown by HOTWIRE is often somewhat variable and i have seen it change from one search to the next, so this is a 'very loose' indicator to use when trying to identify hotels and should not be weighed has heavily as other factors. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. BradOnTheGo Posted January 7, 2013 Author Report Posted January 7, 2013 Is it commonplace to see two listings for one hotel on Hotwire?
AaronJB Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 I've seen what appears to be the same property with slightly different prices on a number of occasions when searching, although primarily in Vegas.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 Based upon a recent post i think the more expensive property is the Mirage... the lowered priced property Treasure Island. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
