First bid for 4 star, 5 bids ranging from $70 to $86, no luck.Research showed the only 2.5* Priceline hotel would probably be King Charles, and HOTWIRE had it for $71 (as a 3 star). Ready to book on hotwire, but figured was worth a try on Priceline. Got it on my first try (even tho PRICELINE made me wade thru two dire warnings that I only had a small chance etc) with $51 bid. Did the happy dance! Was offered additional nights also.
