Priceline Hotel: Looking for 4* ft lauderdale beach 3/14/13 2nt

I have been trying to get a 4* in the ft. Lauderdale beach zone for several days. I have bid 105,120,130,140,150,160

Should I wait a few weeks, is it easier to get a hotel later or should I go higher....

Travel dates are march 14 for 2nights.

Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable 4* hotel in this zone?

Is this the only zone that is acceptable for this trip?

With 2+ months before your stay i would more likely book the Il Lugano Suites for $229 or the Westin Beach Resort for $259... both are fully refundable up until a few days before your stay (always double check the terms during the check-out process) as this will protect you from hotels selling out and/or rates rising from here, while also giving you the ability to continue try PRICELINE / HOTWIRE for lower rates in the weeks ahead.
