AaronJB Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 My guess would be the Venetian or Palazzo.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Dirk Pitt Posted January 5, 2013 Author Report Posted January 5, 2013 That is what I was thinking too, thanks for the info. I am trying for the Wynn, so I will keep trying. If it wasn't for the Trump I would be using Priceline. Is there any way to exclude the Trump when bidding for 5 stars on the North strip on PRICELINE?
AaronJB Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 The Trump was last reported to the board in the Strip North Vicinity zone. However, when bidding in Strip North (or any zone), there is no way to guarantee or increase the odds of a particular property.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 Just to clarify/re-emphasize the above...There are two zones with similar names on PRICELINE:Las Vegas Strip NorthLas Vegas Strip Vicinity NorthThe first zone 'Las Vegas Strip North' is the one which contains the 'casino' hotels like Wynn, Encore, Venetian, Palazzo, etc.The second zone 'Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North' is the one that contains the non-casino Trump. You should be able to avoid the Trump (based upon the current zone boundaries) by bidding the first zone and not bidding the second zone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Dirk Pitt Posted January 6, 2013 Author Report Posted January 6, 2013 Thanks so much for that info. I am going to try and bid on the casino north zone (since I can exclude the Trump).I will start a new thread in the Priceline forum and of course use the links that you have on this page. Thanks for the good advice

Used the re-bidding star\tagy, started at $80 and got:Congratulations. We just booked your stay at the The Venetian for just $110 a night.Checked the price right after and it was going for $174 per night, a nice bit of savings. Thanks again for the helpChris
